Milan Fashion Week has come to an end and the fashion folks have moved onto Paris for more Spring ‘20 collections. While we eagerly await what the French have to show us, we thought we’d do a quick recap of the amazing show that Milan Fashion Week 2019 was. Showcasing some quintessential Italian culture, the week was filled with bright unorthodox florals to crisp suiting and lots of colored leather. We were in awe of all the incredible talent that seemed to envelope all the shows.
So we took inspiration from some amazing looks, and wondered where and how we could add them into our boring wardrobes! Here are a few of our looks from Milan Fashion Week, that could be used as inspiration for your next Fall/Winter outfits.
Balenciaga brought to us these spandex boot-pants, which according to us, completely stole the show. This co-ord set consisting of a matching maroon overcoat and leggings, along with an oversized bag (which is again, typically Balenciaga) was one of our favorite picks for fall style for women. This outfit could prove to be very chic yet practical in the colder months owing to its warm trench coat which is sure to keep you cozy during the entire season.
Who doesn’t love a pop of color? The runway seemed to be filled with such popping colors this season. We recommend adding some bursts of color in your outfit, as they are definitely the next big trend. If you are not confident of wearing these bold colors, you could just add a bit of pop in your outfit through accessories- be it a statement clutch, vibrant earrings or just boots to highlight your ensemble.
Milan Fashion Week street style made a strong case for itself. Men were seen putting on their crisp best through tailor-made suits, fun T-shirts and striped/printed outfits. You can take inspiration from the clean and easy to style fall outfits for workwear, as well as casual wear. If you are looking at dressing up formally, a striped blazer, matching trousers, and formal shoes might be the best way to go about it. If you are looking to dress for a Friday night out, you could pair this ensemble with sneakers and a funky T-shirt.
We are strong advocates of the color black, and the guys at Milan Fashion Week seemed to think so, too. Seen on many men were black on black outfits, completely in sync with the artistic mood of the proceedings. This effortless style could be added to your list of fall/winter outfits. Pair it up with colorful sneakers, a block colored t-shirt underneath or just another similar toned blazer!
Fashion Weeks are about creating art and living in a dystopian world. Take inspiration from these styles to create your toned-down outfits that are suitable for work and casual wear. Keep accessorizing and experimenting with different silhouettes and colors to achieve your own personal fall fashion trends!
